Medical technology systems for diverse requirements
Add-Ons
Always one more option…
Our add-ons make every supply unit more functional, flexible, and well-thought-out. For anyone who wants to improve processes, optimize spaces, and fully utilize their potential.
bespokeis our philosophy
Our approach is called “bespoke” – for solutions that adapt flexibly and precisely to the needs of the space.
The bespoke philosophy of Schyns
The modular medical supply unit Q100 helps to plan and implement rooms in a way that is tailored to the needs of the patient.
Bespoke is not a single product, but the philosophy with which Schyns realizes tailor-made solutions in the field of medical technology and architecture.
Q100 is the modular system that brings this concept to life – technically sophisticated, visually discreet, and tailored to the people in the room.

Over 1,250 options for your individual solution
Brochure as PDFThe bespoke concept offers an enormous variety of design options. Combining the numerous categories and options creates over 1,250 different variations - depending on which elements you select and how they are combined. This number shows the range of individual configurations that allows you to tailor your solution exactly to your needs.
Healing Architecture for all Senses
We design spaces that provide tangible support to staff and patients.
A modern patient environment must offer more than just functionality.
As part of interior design, we are responsible for ensuring that technical equipment and architectural atmosphere form a harmonious whole. This approach has guided us for many years – as Alphonse Schyns once said: A hospital does not have to look like a hospital. This idea continues to influence our work today. Our products are developed in collaboration with our customers. This direct exchange ensures that every solution works in the everyday environment of clinics and care facilities: clear, robust, hygienic, and well thought-out exactly where it matters most.
Our work follows the principles of healing architecture. We design spaces that provide tangible support to staff and patients, promote calm, and facilitate processes. This is not a fashionable concept, but an approach that has proven itself over decades.
The multisensory approach—healing architecture for all senses—is a central component of this. Light, acoustics, materials, haptics, and intuitive orientation are specifically coordinated to reduce stress, create clarity, and generate a tangibly soothing environment. This creates an atmosphere that is both professional and relaxing.
Our supply units fit seamlessly into this overall concept as an important component: ergonomic, hygienically designed, and durable. They support staff in their daily work and provide patients with safety and orientation.
This is how we combine technical precision, many years of experience, and a clear design philosophy—and consistently think ahead to the patient rooms of the future.

Human Centric Lighting (HCL)
Brochure as PDFThe positive effects of dynamic lighting that is based on the natural daylight rhythm have now been scientifically proven.
The Schyns Biologic Health Light lighting system perfectly embodies this so-called Human-Centric Lighting (HCL) concept. The highly efficient, programmable LEDs enable continuous, automatic adjustment of the light colour temperature and intensity. The in-house developed LED modules impress
with a uniquely high colour temperature and a colour rendering index that far exceed the market average. The result is dynamic lighting that optimally supports the patient's natural sleep-wake rhythm. When it comes to the technology behind the lighting, too, we rely on …
Ergonomics
At Schyns Medizintechnik, ergonomics goes far beyond the individual component. Our Medical Supply Units seamlessly combine technology, design, and functionality, allowing them to integrate naturally into modern clinical and care environments
These systems simplify nursing workflows while creating a calm, patient-friendly environment. Devices, sockets, gas outlets, and controls are logically arranged, easily accessible, and visually integrated in a subtle manner. The result: reduced searching, clear structures, and an environment that never feels cluttered. A prime example of this approach is our Medical Supply Units (MSUs). They combine technical functionality with thoughtful design and are engineered to adapt flexibly to daily clinical routines. Features such as slidable or flexibly positionable reading lights deliver light precisely where it is needed. Especially in patient rooms, where beds are frequently adjusted or room layouts change, the lighting remains functional and reliably ready for use. At the same time, this design philosophy enhances the patient experience. Individually adjustable lighting supports personal activities such as reading or orientation in bed, without adding unnecessary clutter to the room. Technology remains in the background, while functionality and a peaceful atmosphere take center stage. For nursing staff, this means: less improvisation, clear working conditions, and ergonomic workflows. For the patient: targeted, pleasant illumination without glare or unnecessary disruption in the room. This is how ergonomics transcends pure function. It supports daily routines, enhances the quality of stay in the patient room, and blends harmoniously into the overall architectural concept. This is exactly what sets Schyns apart.

Healing Sounds – Design for the Ear
The healing effects of music are scientifically proven – integrasound from Schyns makes it audible and tangible in the care unit.
Schyns integrasound, the integrated sound system for the Q100, was developed to positively influence the well-being and health of patients through their sense of hearing. The therapeutic effect of music has long been proven. Sound therapy is
used, among other things, for pain management patients, in dementia and palliative care, or in psychiatry, and is generally worth considering whenever emotional and psychological aspects matter alongside somatic care.

Sound and design rethought
The heart of integrasound are the flat panel speakers. They are not only invisibly integrated into the medical supply unit, but the medical supply unit itself becomes a sound body – modeled after acoustic musical instruments.
The construction materials are perfectly matched to the acoustics as part of the resonating body. Flat-panel speakers radiate sound with a room-filling dispersion angle, providing a holistic sound experience that conventional speakers can't match. Thus, integrasound combines remarkable acoustic quality with a discreet, stylish design.
